Abstract
This paper shows the migration of the data processing system of the IBIS instrument (Imager on Board the Integral Satellite)
from an architecture based on a cluster of machines interconnected by an high speed local network to a new one based on a set of Blade units
SGI UV2000.
Are being taken into account issues related to the obsolescence of the hardware used, the effective management of resources,
a fast access to the data required for the processing and the possibility of modular sistem growth in the context of its possible reuse in new missions environment
