Abstract
We discuss the relation between the light-cone and static distributions for the B meson in the framework of the heavy quark effective theory.
We investigate the possibility of calculating the B-meson light-cone distribution by lattice QCD applying
the recently proposed Ji's approach. We discuss the tree-level relations between the light-cone and static distributions and calculate the 1-loop corrections to them
in the $\overline{\rm MS}$ scheme using the background field method in the coordinate space.
