Non-commutative geometry from large N gauge theories

Abstract
We show that a classical SU(N) Yang-Mills gauge theory in d dimensions of space-time can be rewritten as a theory in d+2 dimensions with the extra two dimensions satisfying a Heisenberg non-commutative geometry.
