Monitoring of high-intensity muon beams

Abstract
Low energy, high intensity muon beams are essential tools for fundamental physics and applied research. Beam monitors have been realized with many different techniques and some of them will be reviewed in this paper. The informations they provide on beam profile and beam intensity are essential for beam optimization and steering.
