Abstract
Rare decays in quark flavour physics provide a unique opportunity to probe for new heavy particles beyond the Standard Model, with mass scale higher than the one directly reachable at the LHC.
Recent experimental results are reviewed, with emphasize on $b\to s\ell\ell$ decays. A brief overview of the latest developments in the field of exotic states is also provided.
