Abstract
The most recent measurements of single top quark production in proton-proton collisions at the LHC at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8 and 13 TeV, using data collected with the CMS experiment, are presented. Precise measurements of the single top quark production cross section in the two most dominant production modes (t channel and tW production), measurements of rare processes involving a top quark and a neutral electroweak boson (Z or photon), and searches for flavour changing neutral currents are discussed.
