Abstract
Searches for additional neutral Higgs bosons by the CMS experiment at the LHC are presented.
A number of different decay channels and production mechanisms are covered.
The analyses are based on proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} =$ 13 TeV recorded in 2016, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 35.9 $\mathrm{fb^{-1}}$.
The observed data are consistent with the standard model expectations.
Upper limits on the Higgs boson production cross section times branching ratio are set for each search, typically in the context of a two-Higgs-doublet model formulation. These results further reduce the allowed parameter space for extensions of the standard model.

Metadata are provided both in "article" format (very similar to INSPIRE) as this helps creating very compact bibliographies which can be beneficial to authors and readers, and in "proceeding" format which is more detailed and complete.
