Abstract
Recent results in the study of leptonic decays of light hadronic states and rare $B$ decays are presented. Measurements of the properties of $B^0_\textrm{s}$ mesons decaying to $\mu^+\mu^-$ and searches for $B^0$ mesons decaying to $\mu^+\mu^-$ by both the ATLAS and CMS collaborations are discussed. Probing lepton flavour violation via searches for $\tau$ leptons decaying to three muons with ATLAS and CMS is also discussed.

Metadata are provided both in "article" format (very similar to INSPIRE) as this helps creating very compact bibliographies which can be beneficial to authors and readers, and in "proceeding" format which is more detailed and complete.
