Abstract
In recent years there has been a momentous surge of interest
in the determination of the parton content of nucleons using lattice
QCD. Scalar field theory is a convenient toy model to understand the
relation between Euclidean correlators and Parton Distribution
Functions (PDFs). In this talk we review the factorization formulae
that allow the extraction of PDFs from the pseudo-PDFs and
quasi-PDFs computed on the lattice. The scalar theory provides a
simplified setting where the main physical properties are easily analysed.

Metadata are provided both in "article" format (very similar to INSPIRE) as this helps creating very compact bibliographies which can be beneficial to authors and readers, and in "proceeding" format which is more detailed and complete.
