REINFORCE (REsearch INfrastructures FOR Citizens in Europe) is a “Science with and for Society” (SwafS) project, funded by the European Union under the Horizon 2020 research programme.
REINFORCE partners have developed four demonstrators, two of which were presented in a hands-on session during the Engaging Citizen Science Conference 2022 in Aarhus, Denmark.
In the “Search for new particles at CERN” demonstrator, citizen scientists contribute to the search for undiscovered particles at the ATLAS experiment, while in the “GWitchHunters” demonstrator, they contribute to the improvement of the sensitivity of the current generation of gravitational-wave detectors.
