Abstract
This article is a summary of the closing theory talk that I gave at the 11th edition of the Large
Hadron Collider Physics (LHCp) conference. I briefly discuss the meaning of discovery in particle physics, and I highlight the complementary ways to explore the next New Physics scale via a combination of precision measurements and direct searches at accelerator-based experiments.
