Abstract
The University of Bonn has a long history of advancing polarized target technology. The first horizontal frozen spin dilution refrigerator with an internal holding field was pioneered there in 1993 and research in the field continues to this day. Currently, the next generation of frozen spin holding coils are being developed. This includes a paired longitudinal and transverse field arrangement which combines and extends the functionality of current holding coils while maintaining optimization for the frozen spin environment. Reported here is the status of that development along with the performance of recent polarized target experimental runs at CB-ELSA.
