Abstract
Recent CMS results on production of heavy hadrons are presented, including the measurement of total charm production cross section in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}=7$ TeV and the observation of simultaneous production of $\Upsilon(1S)$ meson and $Z$ boson in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV.
