Abstract
Event shape variables, constructed from the four-momenta of the final-state objects
in an event, are sensitive to the models of Quantum Chromodynamics in hadronic final states.
These are sensitive to the perturbative as well as non-perturbative aspects of Quantum Chromodynamics.
The study of these variables can help us in understanding the geometrical structure of the hadronic final states.
In this note, we present two such recent measurements by the CMS Collaboration and comparison with the predictions of QCD
inspired theoretical models.
