Highlights from searches with heavy bosons and tops

Abstract
Searches for heavy resonances decaying into Standard Model (SM) bosons and top quarks provide powerful probes of physics beyond the Standard Model (BSM). This report summarizes recent results from the CMS experiment at the CERN LHC, based on the full Run~2 data of proton–proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13~\mathrm{TeV}$. The searches cover a wide range of benchmark scenarios, including extended Higgs sectors, warped extra-dimensional models with Kaluza–Klein excitations, heavy vector triplets, and excited top-quark states. These results extend the reach of CMS resonance searches and lay the groundwork for future analyses with the Run~3 data.
