In the following years, the improvement of the high-energy measurements in particle accelerators will permit to obtain levels of accuracy never experienced before. In this scenario, the Drell-Yan process constitutes one of the main LHC processes that will benefit from the increase of the experimental dataset, with a future estimated sub-percent precision in the 1 TeV invariant mass region. In this proceeding, we will discuss lepton-pair production, presenting our recent results for the ultraviolet-renormalised and infrared-subtracted finite remainder of the two-loop amplitude, firstly considering its complete IR structure and subsequently evaluating the Feynman diagrams featuring an internal closed fermion loop.
These results are obtained using a new computational framework designed to evaluate two-loop electroweak virtual corrections in high-energy scattering processes, keeping arbitrary numerical precision throughout the entire calculation.
