Lepton flavor is an accidental symmetry of the Standard Model in its minimal formulation.
The observation of neutrino oscillations already demonstrates that lepton flavor is not an exact
symmetry of nature; however, charged-lepton-flavor-violating transitions induced only by neutrino
mixing are predicted to occur at rates far below the sensitivity of present or foreseeable collider
experiments. For this reason, any observation of charged Lepton Flavor Violation at the LHC would
constitute an unambiguous indication of physics beyond the Standard Model. This contribution
reviews recent searches for Lepton Flavor Violation performed by ATLAS, CMS and LHCb,
focusing on decays of Standard Model bosons, searches for heavy neutral resonances, effective-
field-theory interpretations in the top-quark sector, and rare tau-lepton decays.
