A broad experimental program is ongoing at the LHC to probe dark sector scenarios through a
variety of signatures and theoretical frameworks. This contribution reviews recent results from the
ATLAS and CMS collaborations focusing on vector and scalar portal models, including searches
for dark photons, dark jets and dark Higgs bosons. Dedicated analysis strategies, such as trigger-
level analyses and data scouting, extend the sensitivity to low-mass and low-momentum regimes,
while advanced Machine Learning techniques enhance the reach for complex and unconventional
final states. No significant deviations from the Standard Model predictions are observed, and
stringent constraints are set on a wide range of benchmark models. These results demonstrate
the complementarity of different search strategies and highlight the strong discovery potential of
future LHC data.
