Abstract
The ATLAS Virtual Visits programme has been connecting the ATLAS experiment at CERN with
global audiences since 2010. Instead of providing a detailed description of the programme, these
proceedings evaluate its success along four dimensions: reach, accessibility, sustainability, and
evidence of continued engagement. Between 2019 and 14 August 2026, the programme delivered
753 visits in 21 languages to participants from 69 countries, sustained by a community of 129
volunteer hosts. A major success of the programme is the publication of the first dedicated, peer-
reviewed outreach and education paper from an LHC experiment. These results provide a basis
for reflecting on the programme’s development and defining its future directions.
