Abstract
In this presentation we show that metadynamics, when used to simulate $CP^{N-1}$, allows to address efficiently of freezing of topological charge, to reconstruct the free energy of the topological charge $F(Q)$ and to compute the topological susceptibility as a function of the coupling and of the volume. We discuss possible extensions to QCD.

Metadata are provided both in "article" format (very similar to INSPIRE) as this helps creating very compact bibliographies which can be beneficial to authors and readers, and in "proceeding" format which is more detailed and complete.
