Abstract
Lattice QCD simulations have provided key information on the
equilibrium properties of strongly interacting matter at finite
temperature. I review the progress recently achieved for
near-equilibrium properties such as transport coefficients. Due to
the use of the Matsubara formalism in lattice QCD, the latter
properties are only accessible via a numerically ill-posed inverse
problem. I discuss several methods to address the inverse problem
more efficiently.
