Abstract
Lepton flavor violating tau decay is a clear signature of new physics
beyond the Standard Model. The Belle II experiment aims to record 50 ab^{-1} of data at the SuperKEKB energy-asymmetric e^+e^- collider, which is 50 times larger amount compared to the current experiments.
The anticipated high statistics data sample has excellent sensitivity to lepton flavor violating tau lepton decays.
The expected sensitivity of the branching ratio is O(10^{-9})-O(10^{-10}), which depends on the background situation.
