Abstract
A summary of the activities of WG2 at the 2021 CKM conference is presented. This includes discussion of the latest developments regarding the determination of the CKM elements $|V_{cb}|$, $|V_{ub}|$ and measurements of lepton universality with decays involving $\tau$ leptons. Consideration is given to both the theoretical and experimental aspects of the subject.
