Abstract
First results of the $\Lambda$ polarization measurement by HADES in the proton-proton reactions on $\sqrt{s} = 3.18$ GeV are reported. According to the theory and measurement of the $\Lambda$ polarization at the same beam kinetic energy in p+Nb reaction, the polarization is expected to have small and negative value. Current results does not allow to draw conclusions on the results from p+p reaction. In the analysis we experience large uncertainty in the longitudinal direction and positive but small polarization in the spin-aligned direction.
