Abstract
These are my remarks at the conclusion of the Frontier Research in Astrophysics – IV workshop. It has been especially enjoyable to meet with everyone here at this beautiful venue. This workshop covered a broad range of topics each on the cutting edge of astrophysics. The field today benefits from large datasets obtained with dedicated instruments for both ground-based and space-based research as well as traditional pointed telescope observations. Not only do these data span across the electromagnetic spectrum; but also multi-messenger data from cosmic-ray particles, neutrinos, and gravitational waves that allow us to study cosmic events at an ever-increasing distance. Stronger constraints provided by these high-quality data place pressure on the development of an improved theoretical understanding. As the field digests the influx of multi-wavelength and multi-messenger data, we are meeting the challenge directly at the frontier of understanding.
