Abstract
The T2K experiment has recently upgraded its off-axis near detector, ND280, to enhance its capabilities in constraining neutrino interaction systematics for oscillation analyses. A key component of this upgrade is the Time-of-Flight (TOF) detector, designed to provide precise timing information for particle identification and background rejection. This proceeding presents the design, installation, and commissioning of the TOF detector, along with preliminary performance results obtained from cosmic ray and beam data. After applying an MCMC-based calibration procedure, we achieve a time resolution of 175~ps.
