Abstract
I first recall the uses of Dirac materials as table top realizations of high energy physics scenarios. Then I point to a specific system that might reproduce a massless BTZ black hole, where the key role is played by hyperbolic carbon pseudospheres. Finally some considerations are offered on the possibility to realize analogs of rotating black holes, along with some comments on the future of the whole analog gravity enterprise.
