Abstract
The BESIII experiment has accumulated the world largest J/psi sample, its radiative or hadronic decays offer a unique opportunity to investigate physics in the low energy region. This report presents the recent highlights in eta and eta' decays at BESIII, including the first observation of decay eta'->pi+pi-mu+mu-, the study and search of CP violation in eta'->pi+pi-e+e-, the study of the rare decays eta'->4pi0 and eta'->gamma gamma eta, and the precision measurement of the branching fraction of eta and eta' decays.

Metadata are provided both in "article" format (very similar to INSPIRE) as this helps creating
very compact bibliographies which can be beneficial to authors and
readers, and in "proceeding" format
which is more detailed and complete.
